Silly Sleepover Shenanigans

So on this blog I'm following, called Blag Hag, she (kinda) recently posted something that brought back my childhood.
The Kill, Sleep With, or Marry game. >D
I don't think I played it with those rules exactly...I remember my friend Kirsti and I would just go back and forth with 'Would you make out with BlahBlah?' and 'Would you sleep with BlahBlah?'. Of course, back then, sex was still kinda gross. But the media told us it was good, so it was kinda fun wrestling with our inner conflict between cooties and coitus. :)
So! For fun, I thought I'd list a few of my preferences (who I'd kill, sleep with or marry) from various series, books, dramas, and even real life! :D Here we go!

Harry Potter
Kill: Dolores Umbridge
Sleep With: Fred Weasley (pre-death)
Marry: Also Fred. Or George, since Fred died. :'(

Twilight
Kill: Victoria
Sleep With: Jacob :)
Marry: Jasper <3

Artemis Fowl
Kill: Opal
Sleep With: Butler
Marry: Artemis Fowl

Atashinchi no Danshi
Kill: Tokita
Sleep With: Sho
Marry: Satoru

Coffee Prince
Kill: Mr. Ku (the butcher)
Sleep With: No Sun-Ki
Marry: No Sun-Ki or Hwang Min-Yup

Hana Yori Dango
Kill: Sakurako
Sleep With: Hanazawa Rui
Marry: Mimasaka Akira

Hana Kimi
Kill: Hanayashi Hibari
Sleep With: Nakatsu
Marry: Sano Izumi

Tumbling
Kill: Hino Tetsuya
Sleep With: Tsukimori Ryosuke
Marry: Mizusawa Taku (if he wasn't gay) or Kiyama Ryuichiro

In Real Life:
Kill: Sarah Palin, Racist People, People that talk to me like I'm stupid
Sleep With: Kim Jae Wook, Antonio Banderas (before he started looking like Santa Claus), Hero
JaeJoong (sp?)
Marry: Seto Koji, Kim Jae Wook, Yanagishita Tomo, Yuki Shiido (oh, wait, we're already married! :D)

Those are my lists!! Feel free to call me a nerd. XD But that was really fun! Comment with your lists of who you would Kill, Sleep With or Marry. You can use the series I used or you can come up with your own. This is fun! :D

Recreational Recommendations 1.1

Alright, so it's kinda late, but here's the second part of my Recreational Recomendations posts. This will be the drama list!! :D
I'll try to keep it short, and not babble too much, since I've watched a LOT of dramas, and just putting the list on here will make it long enough. XD Although, looking through all the dramas on various websites, looking for the dramas that I have watched, I found a shocking amount of dramas that I haven't watched. This must be amended. >D
Get ready for Recreational Recommendations 2.0!
But until then, here's the list of dramas that I have watched so far, and a rating from 1-5 on whether or not I liked it. :)
*(KOR) means it's a Korean drama. If not marked, it's Japanese.

Abarenbo Mama (4) Very cute!
Absolute Boyfriend/Zettai Kareshi (4) Cute, but weird at times.
Akai Ito (2) Didn't finish this one--VERY DRAMATIC
Akihabara@Deep (2) Didn't finish--confusing...
Antique Bakery (KOR) (500000) BEST MOVIE EVER WATCH IT
Atashinchi no Danshi/AtaDan (5) Cute, funny, enjoyable
Bad Guy/Bad Boy (KOR) (2) Good premise, weird execution
Coffee Prince (KOR) (5) Cute, heartwarming, lovable
Death Note Movie (5 if you're a Death Note fan, 2 if not)
Ghost Friends (3) Not bad. Nishi was cute.
Hana Yori Dango (JP) (5) Great! So cute and fun.
Hana Yori Dango Season 2 (5) I was surprised to like a sequel series this much.
Hana Yori Dango Final Movie (5) Cute ending to a lovely series. :)
Hanazakari no Kimitachi e/Hana Kimi (JP) (5) Great! Definitely a must-see.
Happy Boys (1) Little to no story. Just an excuse to say 'Oh, look at Seto Koji! So cute!'. As much
as I love him, I'd like a story, please.
Hard Gay (3) He's a comedian. Very funny! But it's a weird sense of humor.
Honey and Clover (Drama) (5) Cute! Love it. :)
Kamen Rider Kabuto (2) It's a kid's show. Hiro Mizushima is MUCH too dramatic.
Kamen Rider Kiva (2) A little better than Kabuto, but Seto Koji is kind of a wimp. :/
Koizora (drama) (3) SO DRAMATIC!! But I kinda liked it all the same. Seto Koji's in it! :)
Lovely Complex (5) SO GOOD!!! Cute, funny, incredible. Lovely Complex is a good manga, too, if
you're interested!
Mei-chan no Shitsuji (3) Not bad. Kinda weird. Hiro Mizushima was OVER DRAMATIC. But
cute.
Moon Child (?) I've never watched this myself, but apparently it's a must-see. Watch it alone, cuz
it's kinda ridiculous.
MR. BRAIN (5) SO GOOD!!! It's one of those mystery shows like House or Monk. So funny!
Nodame Cantabile (5) I nearly peed myself laughing at this one. SO GREAT!!
Otomen (4) Enjoyable. Cute. Never finished watching it.
Pink no Idenshi (?) I only watched one, and it was kinda crap.
Rinne No Ame (5) So good! So sad, though. Psychological.
Room of King (?) Never watched more than 3 episodes. Not very exciting.
Seigi no Mikata (5) So funny!!! The main girl reminds me of my friend Alyssa. :)
Tokyo Dogs (5) Great! Oguri Shun is magnificent, and even Hiro Mizushima's awkwardness fits
in really nicely in this one.
Tonari no Yaoi-chan (2) If you're a yaoi fangirl, or if you know any yaoi fangirls, you might find
this amusing. But in and of itself, it's not that great.
Tumbling (3) Dramatic! It's a sports drama, so there you go. Prepare for fits of masculinity and
shirtlessness.

There's my drama list! I didn't babble too much! I got a little more talkative toward the end, but I think I did okay. So there's my general opinion of all the dramas that I've watched! (and some others) Me and a friend have also started a drama review blog, and so I'll be working on that, some, too. Go see if you want detailed reviews of dramas, and some recommendations! :)

Recreational Recommendations 1.0

So I recommended a few dramas to a friend the other day (Kristen! :)) and I suddenly got the urge to make a big drama list for all of the dramas I've seen and recommend, or the dramas that, in my opinion, are not that interesting. Most of them are the former, fortunately. :)
I really enjoy comedies, personally, so a lot of these are comedies. Some have other elements, but for the most part they're pretty funny.
This post is kind of half-planned, half-off-the-top-of-my-head, so if I think of anything more to add, I'll post another of these with amendments, additions, etc.
This will be a very long post, so I'm splitting it up into two parts: Tips for Choosing Dramas and Actors That I Like, and Recommendations of Dramas That I Like.

TIPS FOR CHOOSING DRAMAS:

1. Figure out which genre you like: Comedy, Romance, Horror, etc., and search for dramas that are under that genre. You probably won't like everything you find, but don't give up! There's a good chance you will like something in that genre.

2. Find an actor that you like. Be warned, though: THIS IS NOT FOOL PROOF. Seriously. This does not work all the time. My favorite actor is Seto Koji, (I may have mentioned this once or twice) and I like MOST of the dramas and movies he's been in. Not all. MOST. Often, this is a good way just to find new dramas, no guarantee if you will like them or not, but if you want to find a new one, this is an alright way to go about it. Sometimes certain actors will act in very similar dramas (typecasting) so if you liked one drama they were in, you'll probably like the rest of them. But sometimes, some actors act in a huge variety of dramas, which is good if you like variety, but bad if you like the same thing. I've used this method quite a lot and it works some of the time, and other times, it sucks. It's kinda hit-or-miss.

3. If you go to any drama websites (links at bottom of post) they usually have recommendations and new dramas that are out. These are always great options. The list of new dramas is, once again, kind of hit-or-miss, but the recommended dramas are usually good.

4. Talk to people! Word of mouth is a great way to find out about new dramas or movies. Friends are a great source, since lots of times your friend has the same or similar taste as you. Even if you have opposite tastes (i.e., they like horror, you like RomComs) they may recommend something you like, you might recommend something they like. Share the love!

4.5. Forums. This kinda goes with the above one--talking to people. Personally, I've never really been into forums, but they are great places to get recommendations, to talk about dramas you're watching now, to rant because OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HAPPENED!!!11!!1!, or just to connect with other people who have the same hobby.

That's all I can think of for tips as of right now... I'll put up more next time if I think of any! :)

ACTORS THAT I LIKE:

First off, since this list is shorter than the drama list, I'll put my list of actors. Order is not from best to worst or favorite to least favorite, it's just alphabetical. They're all great! :)

Horikita Maki- one of the few female actors that I really like. She is SO PRETTY, and she's got pretty strong characters. She acts in a wide range of dramas and movies, mostly dramatic pieces to my knowledge, and is pretty enjoyable to watch.

Kim Jae Wook- My current crush. :) He is HAWT. Oh, and he's a good actor. Heeheehee. He is the only Korean actor on my list, but he speaks Japanese because he lived there for...7 years, I think? He was SO lovable (in a manly way) in Coffee Prince (KOR) and he was SO PERFECT in Antique Bakery (KOR), which is the show that made me fall in love with him. :) And he's not gay! I have a chance.... ;)

Matsumoto Jun- This guy gets a lot of hype because he's super OMG hawtness, but personally I think he's a bit arrogant in his acting. He is attractive, though, and he's definitely not a bad actor, so go ahead and check him out.

Mizushima Hiro- Hiro was my first HUGE crush on a Japanese actor...(Look him up! His EYES...-faints-)...but then he got secretly married to the singer Ayaka, and my fandom kinda faded away. I couldn't even hate her for it....she is a really good singer, and she's got Graves Disease, so she's got sympathy points.....ANYWAY. Hiro is a pretty good actor, really awkward sometimes, but really, really, cute. His dramas are kind of hit-or-miss, some being really good and some being really, horrendously bad. :/ Go ahead and check him out!

Mukai Osamu- ...is a hottie. :) That's pretty much it. He's a pretty good actor. He was adorable in Atashinchi no Danshi. Oh, by the way, I don't know if I mentioned...HE'S HOT. :) He's also a good cook, so he's been in a few cooking dramas.

Oguri Shun- Awesome actor, but I really haven't seen too much of his work. He's been amazing in everything I've seen so far, though, so definitely check him out. He's also been moving into directing lately, so if you follow directors, check him out.

Okada Yoshinori- Amazing actor. Very versatile. He's pretty much played every kind of character, and played it perfectly. (My blurbs are getting shorter and shorter...sorry! I just hate repeating myself and they're all pretty much awesome actors, which is why I like them so much.)

Seto Koji- LOVE

Yamamoto Yusuke- Once again, kind of arrogant in his acting, but he's really become popular lately, and he's been in quite a few dramatics and comedies of various quality. He really does put a lot of himself into his characters, and (even though he's kind of arrogant now that he's popular) he is a relatively honest actor and is pretty enjoyable to watch.

That's all for the actors that I like! Or if I don't like them, at least they're popular and worth checking out. Please keep in mind that these are MY OPINIONS on the actors. I'm not trying to personally offend you or anyone who likes them, and I'm not saying they're BAD actors, I'm just giving my take on them from my point of view as an avid drama-watcher/ex-theater student. Check them out! If you don't like them, that's totally fine, I won't take offense, I promise. ;)

Tomfoolish Terms and Tasteful Tumbling

WHOA. That has got to be the hardest alliteration that I've ever come up with. There are no good words that start with 'T'! :P

I really just wanted to talk about Tumbling (タンブリング), but I really did make up a stupid word today. It was 'conspirating'. I was trying to say 'conspiring'. Yeah, embarrassing.

SO ANYWAY. Back to Tumbling! :D
Tumbling (or タンブリング) is a new Japanese drama I'm watching (which is why I keep writing it in katakana) and it's about a men's rhythmic gymnastics team. I know what you're thinking: GAY. Well, yes. At least, one of them is. But it's really not that bad...
...
...okay, it is that bad. It's worse. It's pretty terrible. It has every single cliche of a sports-related all-male-cast drama. WAY too much testosterone, lots of shouting, fighting and crying, and the one, perfect-but-not main character that somehow makes every problem disappear or be okay. But there's a lot of GREAT actors in it, almost everyone in this drama is attractive (especially the boys :9) and it's oddly addictive once you get past the first few episodes.

So here's the general synopsis:
There's this main-character ruffian type (played by Yamamoto Yusuke) named Wataru. He's arrogant, likes to fight a lot, and he's kinda really stupid. Some dramas are cast just so perfectly, am I right? So anyway, Wataru is this stereotypical yankee (a lot of people translate 'yankee' as 'gangster' but it's not--a japanese 'gangster' would be a part of the yakuza. Yankees are just ruffians who behave something like American 'gangstas' and may be a part of a gang, but are not yakuza) who spends his days fighting huge, choreographed battles with other gangs alongside his side-kicks: the blonde playboy and the young goofball. He is going happily through his life being rebellious, with his red hair--scandalous!--and his M.C. Hammer pants. Then, all of a sudden, there's a stereotypically really pretty and super-sweet new student who transfers into his class! So he obviously instantly falls in love with her (this is Mari-chan, by the way) and of course she is completely oblivious to his feelings and the fact that his personality goes through a complete 360 when talking to her, as opposed to when he talks to (read as: "threatens") other people. So he quietly and comedically pines for her for a while, until we find out that Oh My Good-Golly-Gosh! Our dear hero Wataru is missing a few credits from his 2nd year in high school, which can of course be fixed by joining a club.
OH BY THE WAY, while all of this is going on with Wataru, we've also been watching the comedic patheticness of the school's Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, which JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE A CLUB. OH, I WONDER HOW THAT WILL TIE IN WITH THIS STORY? So to summarize their situation: the captain of the team, Yuuta (played by Seto Koji *LOVE*) is desperately trying to get together a sufficient Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Team so that they can enter a team competition, which has stereotypically been his dream since childhood. They have had to go through lots of hardships: they don't get very much funding, they kind of suck, they have a bumbling comic relief on their team, they wear the gayest costumes imaginable, they have to live in the shadow of the effing gigantic and way-super-cool, award-winning Girl's Rhythmic Gymnastic Team, and they don't have a noisy red-haired guy to yell at them until things go oh-so-conveniently right.
Gosh, I wonder how this is going to play out.
So, after Wataru goes comedically through every single club on campus, ending up fighting in every single one, he winds up watching Hino (played by Nishi from AAA) who is the only one who is actually really talented on the whole Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics Team, do his routine and is really impressed by it, despite the fact that it is probably the gayest thing I've ever seen in my life. Seriously, the ending pose? Come on, now. He might as well print the word 'HOMOSEXUAL' on his leotard. Anyway, Mari-chan (remember her? Don't worry, I forget about her all the time, too) also was watching Hino do his routine and was also very impressed by it, and says that guys look really cool when they do gymnastics. Conveniently, at the same time, the rest of the Men's Rhythmic Gymnastics team walks into the gym. Just in time for Wataru to make a huge, noisy scene, and to join the team. Yaaaaaay. Wasn't expecting that!

Overall, it's kind of a ridiculous drama. Everything is INSANELY over-dramatic--someone cries in every single episode, somebody gets in a fight, and there is some huge 'We accept you for who you are!' after-school-special moment in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE.

But it's strangely addicting. The first episode was really hard to get through, first because it was a really long starter episode, and second because it was so ridiculous, but after that all the episodes have been pretty okay. I really loved Episode 5, because I WAS EXPECTING THAT and this guy always plays the gay character.
OH NOES, SPOILERS!!! Come on. It's a Men's Gymnastics team. I'm sure you were expecting SOMEONE to swing another way, too.
But I won't spoil anything else for you--you'll have to watch it! Get through the first episode, and it's bearable, trust me.

So there you have it! My review of the new drama Tumbling! I hope you think it's as charmingly ridiculous as I do. Now, off to be productive! :D (I wish)

Justification of JiYong

So I DID have a something planned for this blog, but I just now found this guy and I HAD to make a post about him....G-Dragon.
:D
He's so cute and awesome and kind of a wannabe gangster, but that's okay, I forgive him because he's cute and amazing and I love him very much. :))))) Here's my current favorite song of his, Heartbreaker:

ZOMG LOVE
He's soooo hoooot...I love Korean singers. XD I also love Breath, which I'm not going to post because two videos in one post seems like it's crossing a line that doesn't really exist, but you can find the video for it here.
He was always my favorite out of Big Bang, with his cute attitude and his skinny-asian-boy-gangster-ness. -sigh- :)
So now I'm going to get back to what this post was SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT. (Bad Miso!) And maybe there'll be two posts today! Who knows? I could be NOT-LAZY for once. XP

<3-miso>

PS-Sorry about the crazy font size, I tried to make just certain parts bigger, but it turned the rest of it big, too. :P I'll figure it out later.

Exhaustive Exercise and Contemporary Computers

There's this new site that's been kicking my butt lately. It's called Bodyrock.tv. It's awesome.
First of all, the host of this site is this HAWT girl from the Czech Republic, named Zuzana. I mean, I'm not a lesbian, but MAN. She's like, a teacher and a fitness goal all in one. They lived in Malta when I first started watching, which is an Island a little ways from Italy. Then they moved to Prague, which is in Czech Republic, and all of a sudden, just recently, they moved to Canada, which is where Zuzana's husband, Frederick, is from. They travel to such beautiful places, that even if you don't like the exercise videos, there's something amazing to see. They also do Diet videos, to give tips on how to eat right, and show you healthy recipes to try. All in all, it's a great site, so go check it out! Here's the most current exercise video:

The exercises have been getting harder and harder over the two years they've been doing this site, but they have beginner exercises and exercises that focus on certain areas of the body, so whatever skill level you are, wherever you want to focus on, they've got something for you. I haven't been able to exercise much lately, because I've been getting (ANNOYINGLY) sick a lot, and I've been really busy with end-of-school stuff and summer school classes. But! I will try to get back on the horse and try more exercises! Not this one though. This one would probably kill me. :P

Now for the bit about 'Contemporary Computers': I GOT A NEW LAPTOP!!! IT'S A MAC!!!! It's so nice and white and shiney and nice and pretty and it doesn't get viruses (see earlier posts for explanation) and it's so pretty and nice and it's so wonderful I can't even put it into words. :D It's kinda weird getting used to it, since I've been using a PC for my whole life, but I'm getting there, and I think I really prefer this to all the PC's I've ever had. Especially because my desktop computer, a PC, has just gotten a NEW virus/malware/the-stupid-thing-hates-me, and now I can't use the internet or get email. Thanks, PC. I hate you, too. So now! I'm spending most of my time of my pretty, amazing new Macbook, and I love it very much.
That's pretty much all I had to say today, and I have more posts coming. Like I said, I've got a lot of stuff that's just been building up and building up, and I'm slowly but surely going to post it all. See you next post!

Sorry Silence and Soon Soliliquizing!

So! It's been so freaking long since I posted a blog, and, honestly, I'm posting a blog to force myself to post more. I've got a bunch of subjects that have just been piling up, so I'm gonna get on those soon sometime. I've been kinda busy lately, what with end-of-school stuff, AND I'm taking summer classes (voluntarily, not because I failed something XD), so I do have a pretty good excuse for my absence. But still! I will try to post more often and about more relevant stuff. Also, I am going to be moving this blog toward being less personal and more toward....well, I hope I can get that far. I won't jinx it by telling you. So. Here I am! I didn't lose my password or anything, I've just been busy. So I'll probably be updating on...Friday? Yeah, I think I'll have time on Friday. DO IT, SELF. YOU HAD BETTER. D<

Boring Blankness and Bewitching Boys

So I haven't been blogging much. Guess why? Cuz NOTHING HAS BEEN HAPPENING. :P
I got a new table in my computer room. Great. More space for me to clutter. What a great idea, Steph. :/
It's remained pretty clean so far. But it'll end up SUPER-OMG-WHERE-DID-THE-TABLE-GO???-cluttered pretty soon.

I did see the first episode of Tumbling. More on that later.

Aside from that...I watched this music video today. And I was over-loaded with cute. :)))))

Well, I still have homework (to put off) so I'll be going.

Devoid Dialogue and Dumb Dormancy

So I haven't really got anything to say today. I just wanted to post in order to put off all the other stuff I have to do. AWESOME POSSUM. :D

...PSYCHE! ahahahahaha!!!

Wow, not only am I lame, I'm lame from 10 years ago. I've reached a new level.

Anyway.

I really don't have anything to say...This is really boring. I haven't even found any more videos of Koji....I did find an interview, though. It's where the person asks him 100 questions, and he answers them.
You're probably thinking 'WUT HE ANSWERED THEM?? I THOUGHT HE BATHED WITH THEM!! GOSH, MISO, OF COURSE HE ANSWERED THEM.'
Well, I'm probably thinking 'WELL, HE COULD HAVE BEEN BATHING DURING THIS INTERVIEW, YOU NEVER KNOW. I'M TIRED. DON'T HATE, APPRECIATE. XP'

Now that I'm done with my imaginary dialog between me and the imaginary you, let's do something else.

I'm gonna review Rinne no Ame. Now, it's been a while since I've seen that movie, but that doesn't matter. It's one of those movies that you just can't forget. An overall summary is this (INCLUDING SPOILERS!!):

There are two brothers. The older brother is Mikami Kohei (played by Yamamoto Yusuke) and the younger brother, Mikami Shohei (played by Seto Koji). The younger brother, Shohei, is autistic. (He is described in the official summary as 'mentally disabled', but I don't really know what that means. He does show all of the symptoms of autism, though, so I think they basically mean that he's very autistic, which is a mental disability). Both are young, and we find out that the brothers ran away from their abusive father when they were younger, and are now living together in an apartment. We also eventually find out that Shohei's boss was physically abusing him, and, to protect his little brother, Kohei kills him. Unfortunately, Shohei, as is typical of autistic people, has a photographic memory, and has been drawing pictures of his memories of the night Kohei murdered his boss. The police begin getting involved, and Kohei slowly loses his mind trying to keep their newly-reappeared father away from both of them (especially Shohei), trying to keep his annoying girlfriend out of it, and trying to keep the police away from their house and his brother, who, due to his mental disability, is bad at lying. Kohei eventually beats up Shohei, in a way that is starkly reminiscent of the father he hated so much, and runs away, trying to escape the police. He sees some younger boys, brothers, with the older brother taking care of the younger, and remembers his duty to Shohei. He runs back, to find Shohei coming to meet him, and tells him that everything's alright, until he realizes something: he told Shohei before that bad people need to die, because they'll be reborn into a nice person. Shohei, because of his autism, took his words at face value and stabbed his brother, because of how mean he was. Kohei slowly dies, while the two brothers smile happily at each other.

This was SUCH a profound movie. It was incredibly sad, so I don't think I'll ever want to watch it again, but it had magnificent actors, mind-blowing acting, and a beautiful, if heart-wrenchingly sad story. This story was actually produced because it won a contest, and I have to say that I completely agree with their choice.

The characters were cast SO amazingly:
Yamamoto Yusuke, while somewhat girly-looking when he yelled, was a strong lead, showed an incredible range of emotions, and a believably frightening decent into madness.
Seto Koji played what was quite possibly his best role in this one. His portrayal of autism in his character was shockingly realistic, to the point that I wondered quite a few times if he actually went to an autism clinic to prepare for his character. His character was lovable, pitiable, annoying, and hopeful all in one--I was so taken by the depth of his character that I almost didn't realize this was Seto Koji playing a part, and thought that Mikami Shohei was a real person.
Kanjiya Shihori, who apparently doesn't have a character name in this, despite the fact that she plays Kohei's girlfriend in their 'complicated' relationship. She very elegantly plays the annoyingly-invasive girlfriend to Kohei, despite the fact that he is somewhat embarrassed of his brother, and the fact that he desperately wants to keep the murder of Shohei's boss a secret. She isn't a very apparent character, and all she really does is cook, smile, and be annoying throughout the entire movie, and maybe it's because she was surrounded by such outstanding acting, but I actually think she did very well in this movie.

The whole movie is a little bit of a mind-fuck, making you rethink your life, the mentally disabled, and basically every word you say just in case anyone takes it too seriously. I have to say that it was one of, if not the best dramatic movie I have ever watched, and I would highly recommend it, but make sure you're not doing anything else after watching this. If you get even half as attached to the characters as I was, you'll be depressed for the rest of the day.

So this started out as a 'I have nothing to say' post, and turned into a huge, long movie review. This is amazing. Oh, well. Also, on an unrelated note, I think I might have a tapeworm. Like, a gigantic worm living inside of my intestines. I'M NOT OKAY WITH THIS. D8 I'm exhibiting a lot of the symptoms of having one, and I have been eating a lot of pork lately, so it's not surprising...but STILL. I DON'T WANT A GIANT WORM IN MY BODIES EATIN' MY FOODS.
...I just read a Wikipedia article on tapeworm infections. GOD HELP ME I'M SO FREAKED OUT. DDDDD8

Kay, that's it.

Cheerful Children and Charming Chorus

So my brother randomly came in my computer room (like he does a lot) and after a 'riveting' discussion on autism (don't ask) he showed me this video:

This is a song sung by Brock from Pokemon about how he's in love with Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy.

This has officially made me happy for the next 10 years. 8DDDDDDDDDD x A MILLION

There are so many great things about this song, I cannot even put it into words. Just listen. Just listen. And then listen again. :DDDDDDDDDD

Much love :)))

Awkward Awe and Adjourned Augmentation

I know I haven't been updating for a while. But that's mostly because I haven't had much to update about. There was Project Runway, but I was in much too much shock try to put it into words. Maybe after I watch it again. I'm currently in the middle of the busiest weekend of my life. Well, not my whole life. But it's pretty busy. And I'm really tired right now, if you're wondering why I'm writing such short sentences.

So to make up for my absence, here's this video:

This is the video of a photo shoot for the 'Special Unit' of the D-Boys, who are auditioning new candidates for being D-Boys. I think. I'm pretty sure. Hell, I'm tired. I don't know anything right now. :P
But anyway, back to the video. You can watch the whole thing, or you can go ahead and skip to 5:55.

WHY DOES SETO KOJI HAVE SUCH A HUGE PACKAGE???? I guess it's not a bad thing (per se) but it does make it kinda awkward when he wears tight pants. Especially when those pants are plaid, the bulge in the straight lines of the pattern emphasizing his 'stuff'. AWWWWKWEEERRRRRRRRRD. 8/
This kinda happens a lot...I have to wonder if he is really that endowed, or if he just gets boners....A LOT. Like, ALL THE TIME. Which might be even more awkward. I can't tell. It's almost 1:00 am. I have church tomorrow. I should go to bed. :p

Good night. I'll try to post more.

Excellent Ethics Essays. :)

So I wrote an essay on ethics for a class assignment, and entered it into a competition, also according to a class assignment, and overall did not expect anything but a grade on the assignment.

Turned out I won the competition, and will receive a $500 dollar cash prize.
HOLY GOD. I love my life. :)))

Because I want to share, and I'm kinda curious of your opinion, I'm posting it here. This is not a post that will happen often, but I just kinda feel like posting it somewhere. Like, a trophy. :)

DISCLAIMER: I really don't care that much about your political views. I'm not posting this to engage you in a 50-comment-long argument over whether I'm right or not, and I'm certainly not posting this to challenge or look down on your political or ethical views. I'm posting this because I feel like posting my money-winning essay on MY PERSONAL BLOG. I'm also not trying to be rude with this disclaimer, but I really want to make my point: I'm not directing this at you, I'm doing this purely for myself.
And without further ado....

To protest a governmental policy, a group of people gather in the middle of a street, raise picket signs, shout about their grievances, and rally other standers by into supporting their cause. After a few hours, and a large crowd has gathered, the leader of the protest decides to (to show the government ‘who’s boss’) burn the American flag. And, because of the Supreme Court case of Texas v. Johnson, this near-treasonous act is considered ‘free speech’, as it is an expression of beliefs, and is therefore protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution.

The American flag is a symbol of our country, the United States of America. This flag represents all of the American people, all of the immigrants who came to America looking for a better life, all of the soldiers fighting for our great country, and all of the lives—the fathers, mothers, daughters and sons that have given their lives to keep that flag flying high.

These protesters that burn the flag think that the flag is just a ‘piece of fabric’ and it’s ‘just a symbol’ of America, it’s not that important. But it is much more important than they know. Soldiers stand in its shadow as they are about to fly off to war. Veterans fly the Old Glory high from their homes, showing their love and support for their country in the only way they still can. A folded flag is all that is left of a fallen soldier, to be presented to wives, mothers, children, after their loved one has died for the country—his blood keeping those red stripes bright. It is my Grandfather’s coffin, and the last I ever saw of him.

In one of my classes, we held a debate on whether or not flag burning was wrong. I was shocked to find that only three people in my class, including myself, thought that burning a flag was wrong. Nearly all of my peers named the flag as ‘only a symbol’, and ‘just some fabric’ and asked ‘why is it that important?’, while myself and only two other classmates fought against the verbal onslaught, saying ‘No, the flag is important. It is not just a piece of fabric. This is the flag of our country, and it is important.’.

It is hard to explain patriotism to someone. It is difficult to inform someone of how it feels to see your strong, brave mother crying over this ‘piece of fabric’ that my Grandfather was to be buried in, because of his love for this country he fought for. It is difficult to describe the feeling in your heart as the flag is lowered to half-mast in times of trouble, and raised, flying high and proud, in the times that we are strong and fighting.

So I’ll write this essay, and I’ll jump up on a soapbox and shout words of love for this country. I’ll donate a dollar to the people at my school collecting money to send care packages to the soldiers fighting for their country and their families. I’ll write to my Senator, or the President, or anyone who might listen if I have a problem with my government. And I will never, ever burn a flag. Because by burning a flag, a person is burning more than just some thread and dye. They are burning hopes. They are burning dreams. They are burning the souls of the soldiers that have died fighting for our beautiful country. They are burning the memory of my grandfather, and the memory of a hundred others that died loving this country as much as he did. So stand up and help pass a law against burning flags. Before the whole country goes to ashes.

Sorry!

Forgot to put up a picture of SETOUT's cover. Here it is, in all of its not-masculine-whatsoever 'glory' (if you can even call it 'glory' D<)

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
MISO IS ANGRY!!! MISO DOES NOT LIKE WOMAN-KOJI. MISO WANTS MAN-KOJI.
D<<<<<<<<<
(btw-does anyone else think it looks like he's wearing eye-make up? Like, girly eye-make up. Not it's-a-man-but-we-need-to-emphasize-his-eyes-because-this-is-a-photoshoot make up. You know what I mean? DISCUSS)

<3-miso>

Stalking SETOUT and Sluggish Stitching

So I feel like a creep, but I really want this:

It's Seto Koji's new Idol DVD, entitled 'Setout' where he goes to Kyoto alone, and does things.
I WANT IT. D8
Unfortunately, it's $40 (US), and I happen to not have the moneys. And it's not even OUT yet, so it's not like I can even pirate it. SAD FACE. :(

So, instead, I've just been obsessively watching the trailer for it:

I like his hair now. It's a GREAT color for his skin tone, and it's not that face-hiding helmet that he had for so long after playing Kurenai Wataru in Kamen Rider Kiva, then Ohkura Satoru in AtaDan. This hair is so cute--straight or curly!! <3>

The only bad thing about this DVD, in my opinion, is the cover. It makes him look like a WOMAN. D<
This is from the 'BOYFRIEND' series. Why do you want your boyfriend to look like a woman? Even if it's a man with feminine qualities, I'd like him to look like a MAN. Instead of making him look paler, making his lips a delicate pink (GAG), and emphasizing the mole (turned BEAUTY MARK D<) next to his eye. These Japanese girls that like their men looking like women should just buy some strap-ons and date EACH OTHER. In America, we like our men to look like MEN. Or, at least, we like our men to NOT be photo-shopped to emphasize their womanly traits. KTHXBY.

So aside from my rant about how SETO KOJI IS MANLY, DAMMIT, I just realized that I've used S-alliterations a LOT. It's kinda hard to think up new alliterations everyday, and it seems like all of the alliterations I come up with start with the same letters....and yes, I would like some cheese with my WHINE. Just letting you all know, I know that I'm using the same letters a lot. DEAL.

Aside from that, I've been pretty lazy as far as sewing goes. I SHOULD have finished this dress I'm working on a while ago, but, you see, here's my problem:
It's a really freakin' easy dress. Like, it's so easy that someone who doesn't even really know how to sew that well could probably sew it easily and it'll turn out great. To this date, I have messed up (beyond repair) making it TWICE.

This may sound a little whimpy or over-dramatic, but it's kind of a blow to my self-esteem. I am good at construction. I can sew much more difficult garments with ease. I can hand-sew things quickly and efficiently, and I can even work with tricky, hard-to-work-with fabric in ways that look so good that it might have been bought from a store.
But THIS DRESS. This GODFORSAKEN DRESS. Defeats me every time. EVERY TIME. Granted, 'every time' has been twice. But I wouldn't put it past this dress to defeat me a third time. So now, I'm just kinda putting it off. I don't want to angst over this STUPID FREAKIN' JERK of a dress right now, with end-of-school-excitement here and lots of other stuff going on.

I've also decided that I want to throw a birthday party soon. It'll be OMG-REALLY-FREAKIN'-LATE, but I want to do it anyway. I've got an idea to make it really awesome, too.... ;)
But that's a secret.

But all of you reading my blog know what to get me for my (LATE) birthday! :D
(just kidding, you don't really have to get me anything so long after my birthday XD)

And so, I think I've finished my rambling. I'm going to try to figure out some new letters for use in alliterative titles on my blog, and I'm applying for jobs so that I can (hopefully :/) buy SETOUT for myself sometime before I'm 30. And maybe sew more on my dress....who knows? Miracles can happen, can't they? :)

Sexy Stock-up and Soon Sewing!

Since yesterday I've been stocking up on Jrock (thank you Momiji, for your wonderful blog) which I will play on shuffle while sewing today. I have just now downloaded all of Kra's and Kaya's stuff. They didn't have any DBSK... (HINT HINT)...but that's ok. I'll just comfort myself with the hyper and cheerful stylings of Kra, and the gender-confusing, yet oh-so-lovely Kaya.
I am GOING to sew something today, and it is GOING to be fabulous. IT IS. AND I WILL.
Just to let you guys know. Once I wake up. It's goin' DOWN, yo.
Yeah.
So.
Once I'm done procrastinating.... :P
OH, WELL. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN. D<

Flabberghasting Fruitfulness

Okay, so that alliteration was SO HARD to come up with. :P

Anyway, true to my title, I have been surprisingly productive today, but I have nothing to show for it. I got some homework done, finished a personal project, and finished reading a book I've been meaning to read. YES FOR PRODUCTIVITY!! >:D

No for nothing to show for it. :/

Oh, well. I'll show you these videos of Seto Koji instead. Comment if you want me to translate/summarize them for you.

The second and third videos are part 1, then 2 of one show.

Notice, if you will, how incredibly more relaxed he is in the second show, compared to the first one? I giggled at that. :)

That's all. I'm gonna try to keep my productivity up!!! I've still got a lot more to do!!

Seto Sweetheart

Ok, so I said from the beginning that this would probably just end up as a shrine to Seto Koji, since I am such a huge fan of him. So far, I have not even mentioned him. So I'm posting, just cuz, and fangasming all over the place. Wheeeee!!!! Picture time! :D

He's got really red lips in this one. It's weird, cuz whenever they take pictures of him, it's like they're really emphasizing his manly-womanly-ness. Like, He's a tough, manly man, standing in front of manly brick walls covered in manly graffiti, but he's really pale (feminine trait) with really red lips (feminine trait) with a low-cut shirt (feminine clothes). I'm not saying it's a bad thing--not at all. I like it. It's just funny how they always try to make him look straight/gay-who-the-hell-knows-he's-cute.
Wow, inserting pictures is harder than I thought. This sucks. :P Oh, well!

I really like his eyes... They're so nicely shaped. :))))

This was him as Eiji Kikumaru in Tenimyu. I still say that the 3rd Cast was the best!! (not only because Koji's in it. But he was certainly a contributing factor)

Yeah, so I've had to cut and paste the whole way through... I don't know how many times I'm going to make a blog like this, because it's a lot of work. FINDING the pictures took .02 seconds. POSTING them, on the other hand.... XP

Sooo pretty....It's weird, he looks kinda girly-but-not in this. I can't tell if he's doing bedroom eyes or if he's sleepy. XD

Glassessss.....Cute! He likes Accessories. I wish his blog was still online...The freakin' DBoys (the entertainers group that he's in) decided to make all of their blogs as only accessible through cellphones. SCREW YOU, DBOYS. SCREW YOU. D<

I freak out every time I watch this part in Atashinchi no Danshi. He looked SO CUTE. XDDD
I wonder if he was against wearing that, or if he wanted to....some guys....you never know....

For everyone who keeps saying that he's a girl. HE'S NOT. HERE'S PROOF. He would make a weird-looking girl. like REALLY WEIRD-LOOKING. He's cute, but he's a little too manly-looking to really be female.

Ok, so that was fun. :) But it was a lot of work. I don't know how many times I'm going to do this...it was kind of a lot of work, and I think I enjoyed looking at the pictures more than posting them and more than you all will probably enjoy looking at them and reading this. Oh, well.
Btw-I got NOTHING done today. I went grocery shopping. That's it. Why am I so LAZY??? :P I need to get someone to stand over me with a tazer and zap me every time I slack off, or something. This is dumb.
OK. I PROMISE THAT BY THE NEXT TIME I POST I WILL HAVE SOMETHING DONE! :D
(watch me never post again v.v;;;;)
See you!

Sleepy Sparks And Second-glance Sympathy

Also, My interwebs SUCK. Just sayin'. I've been struggling with this fast-slow cocktease of an internet connection for a while now, and it's really been pissing me off.

Now. I didn't blog yesterday because I kinda wasn't "feelin' it", but I just kinda woke up inspired, so here we go. I really hope this makes sense. I have a history of being completely unintelligible when I haven't had my morning tea.

So my Second-Glance Sympathy was to this:

It's Die Antwoord's 'Enter the Ninja', and my dear friend Sam (who I love so very much) sent it to me, saying he liked it. At first, I thought he might have been drunk.
And then I realized that this is Sam we're talking about, so that is a definite possibility.
However, I also realized that Sam has taste in music, so there must be something to them if he liked them so much. So I listened again, and again, and again, and again, and again.
And soon enough, I realized that I liked them. Which is very weird, for a lot of reasons.
First off, I don't like rap. And they're rap.
Second, The people who are doing it look weird. Not like, trendy, Jrockers-weird, but like, why-the-heck-did-they-do-that-to-themselves weird. As much as I try to be accepting, I judge a little bit on appearance. I mean, come on. The chick's got a mullet. Can you blame me?
Third, it's supposed to be a commentary on South African (where these people are from) life and problems. It's a song about a ninja. Really? This is my skeptical face. HMMMM.
So all in all, I wasn't so sure about this song, or their other song, Zef Side. Though it is rather reminiscent of my own life. However, after hearing it a few dozen times, and reading the lyrics, I can kind of comprehend how it relates to having a difficult life in a mixed-racial and still somewhat tumultuous country.

Seriously, though? They look WEIRD. And I can't believe it, but now, I'm starting to like it.

The main singer, Ninja (hence, 'Enter the Ninja'--entering his life) has a strange haircut, which makes him look bald, but with a hedge, reminiscent of one that separates two neighbors in an up-scale housing complex, of growing on the top of his head to keep his ears from spying on each other. He also has that worn look, of either a very hard-knock life, or the I've-been-smoking-since-I-was-ten look. He also has quite a few tattoos, which may or may not be significant in his life. Honestly, I just think they're kinda cool.
The back up singer is Yo-Landi Vi$$er, who is, in basically every way, conventionally beautiful, in a Caucasian sense. She has thick blonde hair, pale skin, thin, but with a good-size chest, blue eyes, full lips, and a pointed, European nose. She is one of those girls that you could have seen in Vogue, modelling some abstract, yet 'fashionable' something, that some designer spit out in a fit of 'artistic-ness'. But then, you look again, and you see that she doesn't wear make-up. Normally, this shouldn't be a problem. But this girl has white-blonde hair, meaning white-blonde eyebrows and white-blonde eyelashes, which means you can't see them. It's kind of a weird thing to not be able to see a person's eyebrows, let me tell you. Also, (you can see it more in Zef Side than in Enter the Ninja) she has a MULLET. I've never liked mullets. Mullets are one of those things that you can always make fun of, and it'll always be funny. They're one of those things that if you get the worst haircut of your life, you can comfort yourself by looking in the mirror and saying to yourself, "Well, at least it's not a mullet". I AM NOT A MULLET-FAN. Suffice to say, I'm conflicted as to whether or not I can fully consider her 'pretty'.
The last member of the band is DJ Hi-Tek. I don't know anything about him. I don't even know if he exists.

So there's my synopsis on Die Antwoord, the South-African band. I do think that they are pretty zef, so if you have enough free time to listen to them/watch them fifty times, I highly recommend them.

Now...let's see if I can get anything done today! :D (maybe... :P)

Cool Coitus, Cousin Cuisine and Confused Conceptions

So, I have been listening to DBSK's MIROTIC since Sunday. Not only have I basically memorized it, I've successfully driven my mother crazy. Woo. THANKS, TONI. D<
The coitus in the title refers to the sexual 'undertones' and 'inferences' (read as: SMACKS YOU IN THE FACE) in MIROTIC. Shall I again write my summary of this video? Yes, I think I shall. MY BLOG MY RULES YES THIS ROCKS. Here we go:
1) Five Hot, Korean men are walking casually through a scary, yet stylishly designed corridor.
2) A Magic Woman (assumed to be magic by her flowing, impractical clothing and the fact that she can fly) captures them and separates them into their own personal areas of sexual torture; bondage, waterboarding, dancing sexily in green lights, etc.
3) The Five Hot, Korean men somehow manage to break free from their captivity, due to the spontaneous manifestation of super-human ability, and their incredible attractiveness.
4) The Five Hot, Korean men corner the Magic Woman in the scary, stylish corridor and, without physically touching her, manage to destroy her in a way that is starkly reminiscent of an orgasm.
5) The Five Hot, Korean men then attain her powers for themselves, assumed to be so by their glowing, badly edited eyes.

If you were ever curious about the story behind the MIROTIC video, there you have it. And now, I really, really want a harem of Hot, Asian men. Screw you, DBSK. Screw you, for taunting me with what I can't have.

TRANSITION TRANSITION TRANSITION (because I suck at actual transitioning)

So I went to dinner with my cousin today. It was fun. :)
That's it.

...ok, just kidding, it's not. 8/
I got this weird fortune in my fortune cookie. Like, it wasn't that clichéd 'You will be successful...eventually. Probably. Maybe.' or that 'You might meet someone cool in the next few days/weeks/months/years/decades/centuries' overly-general vague-as-hell crap, mine said,

"Remember three months from this date. Good things are in store for you."

....OMGWTFBBQ. Three months? Exactly? From this date? FUCK I'm saving this. This is WAY too specific to be wrong. It MUST BE REAL. D8
So I'm totally marking it on my calender. Three months from now: June 23rd. SAVE THE DATE, YO.

WE INTERRUPT THIS BLOG TO TRANSITION BADLY TO THE NEXT SUBJECT. KTHXBY.

I was so mad at Project Runway, today. Amy got out??? Seriously??? She's SO GOOD. She's always been so fantastic and edgy and never been afraid to take a risk. Now that kid Jay, on the other hand....
Don't get me wrong, I like him. He's cute, and funny, and he's put out some damn good pieces. BUT. He is no where NEAR the designer Amy is. She puts out, without fail, something new and unique every week. Jay puts out pants. Every. Single. Week. He and that (BITCH-HO!) Mila are just one-trick ponies, and it just frustrates me that they have stayed in for so long. There's only so many ways you can make a pair of pants, or that you can color-block something before someone vomits. SERIOUSLY. And that person will probably be me.
Now, I admit that Amy and Jonathan kinda missed the mark on this challenge. They both put too much effort into the details and ended up making a mess more than a masterpiece. But! Jay made a pair of crappy riding-pants (which are ugly in the first place) that made his model look like she was smuggling infants on her thighs, disguising them only with the most BORING and horrid fabric she could find, and paired it with the most terrifyingly, near-pornographically, ill-fitting tank-top made of...go ahead, guess. COLOR-BLOCKING??? Who color-blocks a freakin' TANK TOP??? MILA WOULD. And she didn't even make this tank top. the amount of WTF is building up too high. I can't even comprehend how he stayed in this episode. That was CRAP.

Suffice to say, I have had a pretty full day. And yet, somehow managed to be bored, and get nothing done. Yippee!! Slacker Power!!! :D (but not really). Maybe tomorrow I'll have effort to get stuff done. I've started on making a dress (without using a pattern! How will this turn out??) today, but was too lazy to finish it. So, we shall see.
This was a good blog. I need to figure out a cool sign-off...hmm. I shall think. And still looking for someone to tell me how to put a video or picture in my blog from the internet! Pretty please!

First Fandangoes and Fine Femmes

OMG FIRST BLOG FIRST BLOG FIRST BLOG. At....1:41 am.
Yes, this is a good start to my blogz. :)

And, to commemorate this blog, I would like to post a video I found on youtube today (yesterday :P). I hope you liked/were horrified by it as much as I was.

On an unrelated note, can anyone tell me how to put Youtube videos into my posts? It's possible, I know it is. I've seen it happen.
